2024 Summer FinTech Internship Programme

The HKU-SCF FinTech Academy is excited to announce the launch of the 2024 Summer FinTech Internship for HKU’s Computer Science (Year 2 – 3) and FinTech undergraduate students (Year 2 – 3). This project is to connect our students with the FinTech and IT industries such as Standard Chartered Bank, Mox Bank etc. to gain practical and hands-on experience from FinTech-related and IT-related vacancies, build up networks and connections with industry professionals, and develop employer-valued skills such as teamwork, communications and attention to detail. The Academy is now sharing exclusive summer internship opportunities with our students on this page.

FinTech students can access HKU CS Job Portal (https://career.cs.hku.hk/) for viewing Internship jobs. They can login to the site via their HKU Portal account. (1) click the URL on the post, (2) use your @connect.hku.hk email to log in to the portal, and (3) apply for the jobs (on or before the closing dates). Please note that the links is only accessible to HKU’s FinTech and Computer Science students.

Duration: 8-12 weeks

Job Description:

  • Work on a wide range of fintech projects which may include distributed leger technologies, artificial intelligence, payment, regtech and cyber security;
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders to bring new and innovative products to the market, responsible for analysis, design, development, and implementation of the products;
  • Support the Bank’s fintech initiatives as appropriate;
  • Conduct marketing research and data analysis;
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
  • Be the Fintech ambassador of the Bank
